As SPG was being discussed and formed we had monthly meetings at a members home and found that there was a reoccuring theme. Performers wanted a place to Perform, Teach and Rehearse.
We brainstormed and talked for many hours together and local businessman and now member, Dave Harvey mentioned he knew of a space available and we should look at it. it was currently a storage area for his business "Creative Flooring" at 215 Coffeepot Dr. Understanding, that if this was going to happen, we would need to build it with little to no money and lots of dreams and donations. So, we asked members who would be willing to help and members lined up to help. Community people believing in this dream stepping up big!
Our dream of a home. A place that was ours to share, teach and learn. A place to reach out to each other as performers and then in turn reach out to a greater community. A place were we could plant seeds, pour a foundation for a future Sedona where performance and community thrive.
The first meeting we had, it was said that "only together can we change old paradigms" and as we put the first hammer in the wall creating Studio Live, we learned that together does work!
So, welcome to our home. A place that we hope you also feel at home, just as we do.
